How Come Gauhar Khan Has Been 29 For 4 Years?

Um, so this came to my attention by total accident today when a Twitter fan reposted a link to an ancient blog post I had done interviewing Gauhar Khanback in 2009 on her um… 29th birthday :) turns out the Khan sister has literally discovered the fountain of youth!

Because on last night’s Bigg Boss when Salman Khan asked her how old she is she said “29″, just about a year older than Kushal Tandon. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being older than your boyfriend (I mean even my husband is three years younger than me) but there’s probably a cap on how many years you can pretend to be 29 for before you’re going to have to bite the bullet and cross over to the other side!

Wikipedia thinks she is 32 btw, which is entirely possible too.

Tanishaa gets a letter signed by sister Kajol, mom Tanuja

Tanishaa Mukherjee's illustrious family, mom Tanuja, sister Kajol and brother-in-law Ajay Devgn, have made peace with Tanishaa's controversial and colourful presence on 'Bigg Boss'. To quash all rumours suggesting all is not well between the family and Tanishaa, they've now sent a letter and collage of pictures of the family to Tanishaa as a goodwill gesture.

Says a source from the channel Colors, "Tanishaa had not received a shred of intimation from her family since she entered 'Bigg Boss' house. This led to speculation that the family was far from happy with Tanishaa's conduct. On Thursday, Tanishaa finally got a letter signed by her mom and sister and a collage of family pictures. This ended her period of uncertainty regarding her family's response to her conduct in the house."

A reliable source close the Mukherjee family says the family was fed up of speculation regarding Tanishaa's conduct. "The family has never objected to the way every member leads his or her life. Tanujaji has always given her two daughters full freedom to do whatever they wish to. Tanujaji herself used to be extremely unconventional in her heydays. If her daughter doesn't follow the demure and submissive track, why would she object?"

Before entering 'Bigg Boss' house, Tanishaa had told this writer that she was not in the game for money or fame. "I am asked if I am going in to 'Bigg Boss' to gain some attention. I don't mean to sound arrogant. But the family that I come from (mom Tanuja, aunt Nutan, grandmother Shobhana Samarth, sister Kajol, brother-in-law Ajay Devgn) do you think I need to try to get visibility for myself?"

Tanishaa also spoke about the family's disapproval of her decision to go into 'Bigg Boss'. "My mom is very protective. Like any mother, she's concerned about how I'll cope inside the 'Bigg Boss' house. I am the baby of the family. So mom worries even more about me. She was like, 'Baby, will you be okay?' But parents have to let their children grow up sometime. I cannot be a baby all my life. I hope I've matured over the years. Now I am looking forward to coping with all the excitement tension and squabble inside the 'Bigg Boss' house.

Love Or TRP Stunt ???

Kushal Tandon proposed to Gauhar Khan in the "Bigg Boss Saath-7" house and this boosted viewers' curiosity, while Tanisha Mukherjee-Armaan Kohli's camaraderie is keeping the audiences hooked to the ongoing season of the reality show. 

How real are these relationships? Ex-contestants claim inmates sometimes "fake romances" for survival and to boost viewership ratings and sometimes "they attach themselves to someone" due to loneliness in the house, where they are locked up for three months without contact with the outside world. 

Sambhavna Seth, who was seen in the second season of "Bigg Boss", said: "The people, who come in 'Bigg Boss', have it in their mind that if they are attached to someone and give a romantic angle to the show, it will increase the TRPs (television rating points) and also that it will help them last longer in the show." 

"The second thing is that sometimes one can feel so lonely inside and because of that they attach themselves to someone," the actress told IANS. 

Another ex-contestant, model Pooja Misra, told IANS that to a great degree, people feel "lonely" as they are away from their families and are surrounded by people who are not their friends. 

Added Pooja: "Fake romances happen because they want to play the game of TRP with somebody whom they are romancing apparently, but actually they are just looking for a friend who is just sticking with them as they don't have a real friend in the 'Bigg Boss' house. 

"So, yes, on reality TV people fake romances and once they step outside the house they don't keep in touch, they don't talk." 

The "Bigg Boss" house has seen it all - from cuddling to hugging and kissing to lover's tiffs during each season. Alas, hardly any relationship survived outside the house. 

The failed romances are a testimony to the fact that relationships in "Bigg Boss" house come with an expiry date. 

If actors Aryan Vaid and Anupama Verma's romance set the ratings soaring in the first season, the duo went separate ways after the show. 

The same was the case with Pakistani actress Veena Malik and Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel. They scorched the small screen in season four, but their romance was nowhere to be seen once the show ended. 

In the same season, TV actress Sara Khan had a 'nikaah' with her longtime boyfriend Ali Merchant. Their marriage was called off immediately after the two got evicted from the show. 

Other popular couples whose chemistry spiced up the show are Pooja Bedi-Akashdeep Saigal, Monica Bedi-Rahul Mahajan, Claudia Ciesla-Parvesh Rana, and Vishal Karwal-Sana Khan. 

Once evicted, they all came back to the "we are just friends" tag, except Pooja and Akashdeep as their relationship is still going strong. 

TV actor Rajev Paul says it's very "normal" to get close to someone, and it depends on an individual how he or she wants to take it forward. 

"I grew fond of Sana Khan and even she was fond of me, but we were not involved romantically at all. In this season, Armaan and Tanisha are from the film background, so they share the same opinion, likes and dislikes, and thus are seen spending time with each other," added Rajev, who came in season six with ex-wife Delnaaz Irani. 




"It's true that it's difficult to figure out what is fake and what is real, but it's practically impossible to fake it for 100 days in front of so many cameras. All those people who really fake it are good actors. I don't know whether it continues outside for others or not, but me and Sana are still friends and will always be friends," the actor told IANS. 

In the current season, as a special treat, Bigg Boss even arranged a date for Gauhar and Kushal so that they could have a good time. There were candles, slow music, balloons and roses - a set-up similar to what Vishal and Sana got. 

With as many as 84 cameras spying on them, the inmates have not been able to hide their love. 

According to Shradha Sharma, who featured in "Bigg Boss 5", not a single corner in the house is left without a camera, so after spending some days, people get "used to it and behave according to their originality". 

Whatsoever the reason, romance in the house definitely acts as a visual treat for the viewers!

It's official! Kushal and Gauahar are a couple

New Delhi: No one has been happier than Gauahar Khan to have Kushal Tandon back on the show. She not just hugged him on his entry but has been by his side since the time he entered the show. Kushal and Gauahar also confided into Ajaz Khan that the two like each other.
With Kushal's entry, Ajaz is a little irked and confides in Kamya that he is not happy with the way Gauahar is acting with him. Kamya asks him if he has fallen for Gauahar but he says that they should not talk about it.
Later in the day, he tries to flirt with Gauahar in Kushal's presence. Kushal tells Gauahar that she should try to snub Ajaz's advances but Gauahar tells him that they are just good friends. In the night, when everyone is asleep, Kushal calls Ajaz and tells him, "I like Gauahar and she likes me". And, he would not like Ajaz flirting with Gauahar in his presence. He can be friends with the both of them but nothing more.

Kushal and Gauahar also confided into Ajaz Khan that the two like each other.

Ajaz later tells Andy that he was called by Gauahar and Kushal to clear their status on their relationship and that he should not flirt with Gauahar.
Kushal not just declares his love for Gauahar but also tries to mend ways with Tanishaa. He apologies to her for his uncouth behaviour and tells her that she is like an elder sister to him. He is ashamed for what he said and would always be a good friend to Tanishaa. But at the same time, he tells Tanishaa and Armaan that he is still miffed with Andy.
Later in the day, Bigg Boss asks the inmates to give two names who they think should not be a part of the finale week. With the consensus, Andy and Sofia's name are taken by Tanishaa. Bigg Boss asks the rest of the inmates to select their captain from these two names. Sophie becomes the captain with the maximum votes and Andy is made the 'sevak'.

Bigg Boss 7: Salman Khan delaying Kushal's return to the house?

Sources say Salman is not keen in having Kushal on the show and the channel has been convincing the Dabangg Khan to give Tandon another chance because since Kushal's exit the love story angle between him and Gauhar has been abruptly ended leaving several viewers disgruntled wanting to see more of their romance.

Actor Kushal Tandon, who was eliminated from Bigg Boss in the last week of October for his alleged violent behaviour against inmate Andy, is reentering the house.
While there have been speculations over his re-entry since his eviction, we can now tell you the actor will return to the house tomorrow. Incidentally, the actor was all set to go back a couple of weeks back but it was delayed owing to some confusion.

Says the source, "There have been a lot of reports hinting at simmering issues between Kushal and the host of the show, Salman Khan. Kushal's quotes were tweaked and were presented in a manner that made it look like the actor was trying to cash in on the controversy. However, that's not true. Salman is never involved in the entries and exit during the course of the show. His entry is expected to bring the much needed energy inside the house. The boss has finally granted Gauahar's wish."
To those uninitiated, Gauahar was seen crooning 'Mera Kuchh Samaan Tumhare Pass Pada Hai' on the show, which was hinted at Kushal."
Despite repeated attempts, we couldn't reach the actor for his comment on the news.

In  'Weekend Ka Wow Salman ke Saath' episode a seemingly annoyed Salman made it clear that he was just being polite to Kushal and this did not mean that Kushal can use that to his benefit in the outside world.

 

He later asked the house-mates if they wish to get Kushal back. While Gauhar and Kamya raised their hands in approval, Armaan and Tanisha were against the decision as they said that it would be unfair to do that.  

 

Tanisha mentioned that she would feel unsafe living in the same house as Kushal. Armaan said that since Kushal had overridden a major rule of the house, it would not be the right thing to get him back.

Meanwhile once Kushal was out he also blamed Salman Khan in front of various media for being 'biased ' towards Armaan and Tanishaa.
